Official Board Policies

This document sets forth the rules for this forum. They are subject to change.

Posting Rules

1. Spam/advertising is not tolerated. Anyone posting unsolicited advertisements on this forum will be banned, no questions asked.

2. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum, and you are to remain on topic while posting in any given thread. The Off Topic forum exists for a reason.

3. Do not post in an old, inactive thread unless you have something new or relevant to add to the discussion.

4. This forum exists for one purpose: to promote and discuss Tensided. An Off Topic forum is provided for other sorts of discussions, but ads, discussions of illegal activity, or pornography is not allowed anywhere on this board.

5. If you have a large picture that you'd like to post, put it in url tags, rather than img tags. You can inline (in img tags) small pics, but you must link images that would otherwise break the board formatting (forcing left to right scrolling) if inlined.

User Rules

1. Avatars are a privilege, not a right. If your avatar is deemed offensive or inappropriate, you will be asked to change it.

2. Signatures are limited to 600 characters. Any images contained therein should be no larger than 500x100, and smaller than 75 kb. Signatures are also a privilege, and if your sig is deemed offensive or inappropriate, you will be asked to change it.

3. You will register with an active, valid e-mail address that you check on a regular basis. Currently, free accounts such as hotmail and yahoo are allowed, but this may be changed if it becomes a problem. E-mail addresses from gambling (online or offline) websites are not allowed.

4. If you choose to list a website in your profile, it should be your homepage or a favorite site you frequent. Linking to a site as your homepage that is inappropriate or offensive will not be tolerated. Linking to a gambling (online or offline) website as your homepage is not allowed.

Tensided Rules

1. The Administrator will decide what is an appropriate punishment when rule violations occur, and he will strive to remain consistent in handing out penalties.

2. These rules are set forth to let you know what is and what is not accepted behavior, but they do not define any rights or allowances. The Administrator reserves the right to retroactively add rules as he sees fit.

3. Ignorance of any of the policies contained herein or in the FAQ is not an excuse for failing to abide by them.

4. Any characters, concepts, situations or anything else related to Tensided or a Tensided campaign may be used by the creators of Tensided without the original author's permission.

Disciplinary actions

1. For a low level or first time offense, you will often be issued a warning, with a suggestion to double check the rules before posting again.

2. Ignoring a warning, such as being asked to change a sig or avatar, will be met with the removal of that particular privilege.

3. After repeated offenses, ignoring multiple warnings, and/or severe rule violations, you will be banned.

4. Banned users, if they feel they have been banned unfairly, shall contact the Administrator and make their best case for reinstatement.
