Fire is always fun. Except when it's a pain in the ass. Getting these damn characters to stay lit, jumping in, and then posing them took forever.
There are two problems with this comic. One, I couldn't use created characters, as they don't get lit on fire by the DM's Combustion spell. I had to use the companions from the single player campaign, and they kept making their saving throws, meaning they'd stay lit for about 5 seconds. That last panel must have taken me a dozen tries to get right.
Two, it's hard to tell who or what is on fire on the left side of each panel. It's obvious to me because I made it, but not to anyone else. It's an elf woman holding a sickle in her right hand. She's throwing her arms up in the air in the first panel.
One final note about the last panel. See those blue sparks? I wish I could say those are spell-casting remnants from the elf's Combustion spell she used on the dwarf, but they're not. As I said, these are the companions from the single player campaign, and the elf had enough XP to level up, but I hadn't leveled her. When I jumped into her as the DM, she went through the sparkly level-up animation all over again, and in my haste to get the shot, I paused the game too early. I didn't notice it until after I'd already posted the comic.
With all the fire, this one took about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
