10:48 (1493) Black Star: The hostage situation in the bank had steadily deteriorated out of control and now, with team 4 of the SSPD special weapons and tactics deployed they were not making any real progress. The bank and the surrounding area was locked tight, but there were still seventy four hostages inside and no less than a dozen armed terrorists. The negotiations had stalled a couple of hours or so back, before the SWAT team had been called in. The usual demands handed out as both sides followed their usual game. When the mayor had given the go ahead and the SWAT team given the green light they had ran head first into the first snag.
10:48 (1493) Black Star: The captain had not been there of course, but he had heard it all in the command center. The sounds of automatic fire exchanged and the sounds of shock and disbelief. The captain closed his eyes as he forced himself to relive those sounds.

10:49 (1493) Black Star: The SWAT team had been forced to withdraw after their weapons had been rendered ineffective by the terrorists. Where all of them supers? That had been the question on everyones mind until one of the SWAT members had pointed out the unusual belts that the terrorists seemed to be wearing. Video data from the team was analyzed and there was indeed something wrong about the bulky and metallic belts which circled the terrorist waists. So, they were not dealing with supers after all. This would require a change in tactics, for even though they may not be supers themselves it was clear that the SSPD needed help

"relax. let them in. we talked about this possibility. we have prepared for it." He forced absolute confidence into his voice as he attempted to sway his underlings. If they only knew the truth...they would soon enough. "How many do you see?" Two so far! but they could be hiding a football team in that custom hummer! He smiled. The lobby as a whole was devoid of patrons, there were no lights presently on and the atmosphere was tense. Within fractions of a second he could make out about half a dozen men laying down or kneeling behind what appeared to be prepared positions. They had been prepared to repel an SSPD attack, how effective it would be against a super no one really knew. But it was clear that all involved were about to find out. "Holy shit!!" The cry came from one of the men before Revenant and to his right, crouching behind a heavy wooden obstacle. Six automatic rifles with c-mags began to spit their rounds towards revenant, moments before a series of metallic "click" sounds were heard. As that sound resonated in the air, no fewer than four claymore mines exploded shredding the air of the lobby with a myriad of ball bearing sized objects. Their locations had been chosen with care. Ultimately, beneath the roar of automatic fire and claymore explosions a single terrorist watched. Revenant would surely find it strange, that the man crouching behind cover simply watched. A moment later, the man stood and uttered a few words. "Kiza`la Narel Kuta Shana." The words would certainly not be heard by a normal. But perhaps Revenant would. A millisecond later, the man dropped his rifle and fired.

The death sent the survivors into a panic, one of them Ryan's best friend disappearing into a door as the rest continued on their passage through the narrow and twisting corridors of the second floor of the bank. Four of the men turned to fire on the aggressor, fearing for their lives. Black Star considered for a moment and in a move most unusual for him, he screamed, dropped his weapon and disappearing into one of the adjacent rooms. It was his hope that he would be overlooked. Since he was afterall no longer a threat, as he ran through the room and headed towards another door. He knew what he had to do now. This seemed like failure.

I'm not going to single anyone out, but I noticed a couple of instances of switching powers around, depowering and whatnot in order to add new powers. That's not possible, unless, I suppose, there was some sort of merit taken that was called "unstable powers" or something to allow for it.
