09:49 Server Administrator-> You have connected to an OpenRPG server, version '1.7.0'.
You may encounter adult conversations, concepts and material on this server. If you're under the age of consent, get out now. My arse is now officially covered... parents and watchdogs, take responsibility for your own damn kids, 'cos I sure as hell won't.
Enjoy the freedom of communication with the new OpenRPG Veav I message board. That's right, for those who haven't been taking notes, the board has changed. There is no other OpenRPG Veav server. If you see one on the server list, it is somebody who probably violated rule one and got their ass banned. OpenRPG Veav I does not condone or support piracy or intellectual property theft.
This is a friendly server. I don't much care what you do, so long as you do it in a civilized manner. This means you can discuss anything you like and say anything you like, using whatever words you choose - so long as you aren't being an asshole.

09:50 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Hello
09:50 (2968) Bill: hello

09:51 (2981) Natrix (enter): 09:51
09:52 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Heya
09:52 (2981) Natrix: SLAVES!
09:52 (2981) Natrix: I have missed you
09:52 (2985) gerardpaloma (enter): 09:52
09:53 (2968) Bill: What's that line? You know the 'Hail Ceaser, we who are about to die salute you' one. In the original latin.
09:53 (2982) arthurtuxedo: No clue
09:53 (2981) Natrix: I know Hail is "ave"
09:54 (2981) Natrix: let me get a reference text
09:54 (2968) Bill: Because I just feel like using it right now.
09:56 (2981) Natrix: Ave Caesar , nos quisnam es super morior Tutus vos
09:56 (2981) Natrix: or something like that
09:56 (2990) Mace (enter): 09:56
09:57 (2982) arthurtuxedo: By the way, there are a couple of house guests that haven't woken up yet. They'll probably leave shortly after they wake up, but I'll visit with them until they leave. So there might be a 30 to 45 minute extended break
09:57 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Heya
09:57 ** (2968) Zeke feels doomed. **
09:57 Attempting to assign the role of PLAYER to (2968) Zeke...
09:57 Attempting to assign the role of PLAYER to (2971) Silva...
09:57 Attempting to assign the role of PLAYER to (2981) Natrix...
09:57 Attempting to assign the role of PLAYER to (2985) gerardpaloma...
09:57 (2981) Natrix: bah! Curse the houseguests!
09:57 (2981) Natrix: hehehe
09:57 ** (2990) Mace waves with sammich. **
09:57 Attempting to assign the role of PLAYER to (2990) Mace...
09:58 (2981) Natrix: they must be cleansed!
09:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: I think this is the first campaign we've started without CorSec in a long time
09:58 (2981) Natrix: yeah... it is
09:58 (2990) Mace: Bastage.
09:58 (2981) Natrix: mildly distrubing
09:58 (2981) Natrix: disturbing
09:58 (2968) Zeke: Who will do most of the wisecracking?
09:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Since the original 1930's campaign before SDN1, in fact.
09:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Back in 2002
09:59 (2985) gerardpaloma: Really? He's been in every other campaign?
09:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Or maybe '03
09:59 (2981) Natrix: pretty much
09:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: I think so. He was in SDN4, wasn't he?
09:59 (2985) gerardpaloma: Um....
10:00 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Or maybe not, come to think of it. Okay, so not unprecedented then.
10:00 (2985) gerardpaloma: No, he sat in.
10:00 (2981) Natrix: same difference...
10:01 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Anyway, this will be a fun one. Maybe not quite as good as the Apprentices, since it's extremely rare for a story told in the roleplaying format to come together as well as that one did. But it should be lots of fun, nonetheless
10:01 (2982) arthurtuxedo: And who knows, could even be better
10:01 (2981) Natrix: Indeed
10:01 (2990) Mace: Keep that glass half full.
10:01 (2981) Natrix: I will be uncharacteristically optimistic
10:01 (2981) Natrix: hehe
10:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: A little background: Hightower is the biggest seaport in the known world. It gets ships going to and coming from just about everywhere. Population dwarfs any other known city at 1.6 million, supported by constant food caravans from the fertile and magically farmlands that dominate the rest of the Hightower peninsula.
10:05 (2981) Natrix: (Dont forget the brutal racist theocracy)
10:05 (2990) Mace: (( It's like Miami. ))
10:05 (2982) arthurtuxedo: It is a plutocracy, where the super-rich rule and the others toil. Racism, religious intolerance, and control over magic use keep the workers in line, but good old fashion greed supercedes all. A rich merchant is welcome with open arms, even if he's a hobgoblin magic-using heretic.
10:06 (2981) Natrix: (So it's like singapore)
10:06 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Trying to count the number of different factions and plots going on at any given time in the city is like trying to count the stars in the sky.
10:07 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (You guys should find some miniatures)
10:07 (2990) Mace: (( I did! For once... Yay me! ))
10:07 (2981) Natrix: (I shall)
10:08 (2971) Silva: (I am trying to)
10:10 (2990) Mace: (( Oooh, that's a neat snakey. ))
10:11 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The rulers of Hightower are the secretive Merchant Council, made up of persons unknown.
10:11 (2990) Mace: (( If they're secretive, how do we know they're even there? ))
10:11 (2971) Silva: (Mine's taking a while to load)
10:11 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (You guys remember how to resize and rename? Right click ---> Properties. Make the largest dimension 50 pixels)
10:11 (2981) Natrix: Disregard the lack of legs
10:12 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Their existence is not a secret, but the members are)
10:12 (2981) Natrix: (oh goody, dsecret rulers...)
10:12 (2968) Zeke: ((Finding a suitable piccie was suprisingly hard...))
10:13 (2981) Natrix: (Yeah, I couldnt find a Yuan ti halfblood, so I went wiht an abomination
10:13 (2981) Natrix: )
10:13 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (I don't think that one is going to load. Site probably has measures in place to prevent bandwidth theft)
10:13 (2990) Mace: (( Did you try looking up picks for the man-kzin wars? Those are cats. Might be something there. ))
10:13 (2971) Silva: (ok)
10:13 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (OMG)
10:13 (2990) Mace: (( *pic, not picks...oi. ))
10:13 (2981) Natrix: (WWAAAAAAGH!!!)
10:14 (2990) Mace: (( Is it orc tradition to be named after a physical attribute or something? ))
10:15 (2982) arthurtuxedo: ( Biggus Dickus)
10:15 (2971) Silva: (It says I have to be a Gm to use the feature)
10:15 (2985) gerardpaloma: lol
10:15 (2990) Mace: (( Don't give him ideas. ;) ))
10:15 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Which feature?)
10:16 (2971) Silva: To use properties on the minature
10:16 (2982) arthurtuxedo: There we go
10:17 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Alright. Are we ready to kick this sumbitch off?
10:17 (2990) Mace: Hai!
10:17 (2981) Natrix: (hell yeah!)
10:17 (2968) Zeke: Uh huh.
10:17 (2971) Silva: Yes!
10:17 (2985) Tusken: (you know it, bitch)
10:18 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Okay: The group members do not know each other, but they all have one thing in common: an intense dislike for the Church of Hightower.
10:18 ** (2981) Natrix hisses **
10:21 (2982) arthurtuxedo: This is what brought them to the "Sons of Freedom" secret meeting. When they arrived, the charismatic organizer told them that they were all under arrest as soldiers burst in. Once the organizer fled the room, the masked soldiers unleashed a gas that rendered the group unconscious. An unknown amount of time later, the group wakes up in a dank cell. They couldn't have been there long, since the eyes of those without night sight are still adjusting to the dark. Wailing and other unpleasant sounds can be heard down the corridor. The cell is a simple stone affair with an iron gate.
10:21 (2982) arthurtuxedo: * * * Campaign Start * * *
10:22 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Your starting equipment is the stuff that you didn't have on you when you were pinched)
10:22 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Right now you've just got the clothes on your backs)
10:22 (2981) Natrix: (Oh great, they took the chainmail from my robes)
10:23 (2968) Zeke: "Guess I picked the wrong friend to trust..." Zeke mutters darkly
10:23 ** (2985) Tusken looks disappointed for only a moment, and then bows his head to pray. **
10:23 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (You've got a backup. You still own all the starting equipment, you just don't have it with you)
10:23 ** (2990) Mace looks at the cat. **
10:23 (2990) Mace: Too bad you couldn't pick a lock with those claws of yours.
10:23 (2981) Natrix: Natix looks around and flicked out his tongue. Moving with a single fluid movement, almosta slither if he didnt have legs, he moved toward the iron gate and looked at the mechanism
10:24 (2981) Natrix: "No... But I may be able to destroy it..."
10:24 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Security + Aptitude, it's complex so double up on the security part)
10:24 (2990) Mace: That works too.
10:24 (2971) Silva: Silva, sitting as far away from the others as she can, starts to mutter darkly to herself.
10:24 (2968) Zeke: "Never was much good at the fiddly stuff..."
10:24 (2981) Natrix: "The problem is bringign the guards down on our heads"
10:25 ** (2990) Mace flexes a large arm. **
10:25 (2990) Mace: I should be able to handle at least one of them.
10:25 (2981) Natrix: "Unless..." he flicked his tongue out again. I have a better idea than that"
10:25 (2990) Mace: (( Beam us out of here, Scotty! ))
10:25 (2981) Natrix: "Which i think I do"
10:26 (2990) Mace: Then by all means, give it a try.
10:27 (2971) Silva: (How much space is there between the bars?)
10:28 (2981) Natrix: "It requires... a guard actually being here. Destroying the lock is too loud. They would hear it. If they hear prisoners fight, one or more will come to break it up perhapsss" He looked around. Surveying his fellow guests "Then we can either jump them when they come, or if all else fails, I can magically...convince one to let us out"
10:28 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Not much. About 6 inches)
10:28 (2990) Mace: If there's a squabble, more than one will come. You'd hav to...convince all of them.
10:29 (2981) Natrix: "That is the hard part"
10:29 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Footsteps can be heard at the end of the hall, coming slowly closer.
10:29 (2971) Silva: "If you can kill one, I might be able to make a distraction." Silva says aburtly.
10:29 (2981) Natrix: (How many sets of feet?)
10:30 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Just one)
10:30 (2990) Mace: Then again, we may not have to worry about many.
10:30 (2990) Mace: Maybe one's doing rounds.
10:30 (2981) Natrix: Natrix stands up straight looking as good and proper as possible for the guard
10:31 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The steps get closer.
10:34 (2982) arthurtuxedo: A guard walks in front of the gate, stops and turns to face the group. He's wearing a mail uniform with a cudgel and a small sword. He chuckles, "I always love it when they bring the heretics the catch here. You'll learn to fear Jakalla while you burn."
10:34 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Jakalla is the god worshipped by the Church of Hightower)
10:35 ** (2968) Zeke studiously ignores him **
10:36 (2971) Silva: Silva comtemplates the merits of making him burn.
10:36 (2981) Natrix: "Look at this group sir. Certainly we have done nothing wrong"
10:36 ** (2990) Mace keeps his distaste of the guard to himself. **
10:37 (2981) Natrix: (This is going to take some careful maneuvering)
10:37 (2990) Mace: (( Yeah, Occiffer, we were like totally there to kill all the heretics for you but, like, you never let us.. ))
10:37 (2982) arthurtuxedo: He shakes his head slowly. "You'll learn." He starts to turn away.
10:40 (2981) Natrix: Natrix waits until his back is turned so he wont see the gestures of the spell, which he tries to disguise anyway, just in case"Will I good sir? Look in this cell, certainly we do not deserve this hell, so take up your keys uopen this lock save us verily from this foul lot" (16 strand command spell to have him break the law for the caster, added one strand for feedback reduction. ten second casting time)
10:40 (2981) Natrix: (I will just have to hope he is weak willed)
10:40 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Manipulation)
10:41 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Empathy: [1d10 + 1d10] -> [7,8] = (15)
10:41 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+14] -> [7,14] = (21) (if he doesnt see the somatic) [1d10+9} (if he does)
10:41 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+9] -> [2,9] = (11)
10:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The guard doesn't notice the casting.
10:42 (2981) Natrix: (excellent)
10:43 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Just as he's getting far enough away that Natrix would have to shout for him to hear, the spell goes off.
10:43 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+14] -> [7,14] = (21)
10:44 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard's willpower: [1d10 + 1d4 + 3] -> [1,2,3] = (6)
10:44 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [6 - 1d10] -> [6,-5] = (1)
10:44 (2981) Natrix: willpower [1d10+7] -> [6,7] = (13)
10:45 (2982) arthurtuxedo: He turns around abruptly and starts walking back, his expression unchanged. When he gets there, he unlocks the cell without a word and opens it as if it's a completely normal thing to do. He then continues his rounds.
10:45 (2981) Natrix: (You know Natrix, you are right. I should let you out)
10:45 (2990) Mace: (( Have a snakey snack while you're at it! ))
10:46 (2981) Natrix: Natrix motions toward the door with a flourish as if greeting guests
10:46 (2981) Natrix: "Now we just have to get out..."
10:46 ** (2985) Tusken raises his head, and gets to his feet. **
10:47 ** (2968) Zeke stands up, and steps out of the cell **
10:47 (2990) Mace: (( Do they have our stuff somewhere and we have to find it now? ))
10:47 (2981) Natrix: Natrix leaves the cell after zeke does
10:47 (2971) Silva: Silva gets up, and walks out of the cell.
10:47 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Probably, but it could be pretty much anywhere)
10:47 (2981) Natrix: "The name is Natrix Sipedon. Pleased to make all of your acquaintance"
10:48 ** (2990) Mace nods as he walked out of the cell. **
10:48 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The corridor turns left and right. There are cells all along.
10:48 (2990) Mace: Mace Renault.
10:48 ** (2985) Tusken is the last to leave. **
10:48 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "Psst!" A prisoner form the cell across calls out.
10:48 ** (2968) Zeke looks his way **
10:48 (2981) Natrix: ""Yesss?"
10:49 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "That was a neat trick," says an old man with a long scraggly beard. "If you want a way out of here, use the chaplain's quarters. Guy installed a magic portal." It's just that way. He points to the group's left.
10:50 (2981) Natrix: "Thank you my friend"
10:50 (2968) Zeke: "Can we get the him out?"
10:50 (2981) Natrix: "Does anyone know how to pick a lock?"
10:51 ** (2990) Mace shakes his head. **
10:51 (2971) Silva: "I can probably blast the cell." Silva says, relishing the chance to get some form of revenge.
10:51 (2990) Mace: Would that make noise?
10:51 (2968) Zeke: "Like I said, I don't do that sort of fiddly stuff."
10:51 (2981) Natrix: "Yes, probably"
10:51 (2985) Tusken: (umm, I'm looking at Mace's character sheet, and he definitely knows how to pick a lock. Having a lockpick, though, is another matter)
10:52 (2981) Natrix: (lock picks can be improvised)
10:52 (2990) Mace: (( That's right! I ran out of money... ))
10:52 (2971) Silva: I can cast a less powerfull version, with no noise.
10:52 (2981) Natrix: "No, that just silences your casting. Blasting the lock makes its own sound"
10:52 (2981) Natrix: "an exploding sound"
10:53 (2981) Natrix: Natrix looks around. for a rat bone or anything else that could be used as an improvised lock pick
10:53 (2971) Silva: Silva shurgs. Revenge would have been fun...
10:53 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Investigation)
10:54 (2968) Zeke: "I guess we can't."
10:54 (2990) Mace: (( I could use Tusken's face. ))
10:54 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (lol)
10:54 (2981) Natrix: [(that use aptitude or awareness?)
10:54 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Awareness)
10:54 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+2+5] -> [5,2,5] = (12)
10:54 ** (2990) Mace looks for a rat bone or something to pick locks with as well. **
10:55 (2971) Silva: (Arthur, just out of curiosity, DO spells make sound?)
10:55 (2990) Mace: [1d10+13] -> [2,13] = (15)
10:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (They do. A powerful one would be quite loud.)
10:56 (2982) arthurtuxedo: At first, Mace doesn't see anything. Then he notices a hidden recess back in the cell. Inside the recess is a cleverly hidden improvised lockpick.
10:56 (2990) Mace: (( Of course! ))
10:56 ** (2990) Mace picks up the hidden pick. **
10:56 (2990) Mace: Found something.
10:57 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The old man looks hopeful. "Well, you got a way to get me outta here? I can show you where the chaplain's quarters are."
10:57 ** (2990) Mace wanders over to the old man's cell. **
10:57 (2968) Zeke: ((I'm glad I didn't have to use plan C...))
10:57 (2990) Mace: (( What do I roll? ))
10:57 (2985) Tusken: (Yes, we'll get you out of here. But then, I'm afraid, we'll have to kill you.)
10:57 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Security is complex so it's 1d10 + 2 * security + dexterity)
10:57 (2981) Natrix: "Alright, now hold on a moment" Natrix begins chanting in strange words (3 second casting time, 10 strand buff spell on his security skill) [1d10+10] -> [9,10] = (19)
10:57 (2990) Mace: (( Oh lord... ))
10:57 (2981) Natrix: (your security skill just went up by 5)
10:58 (2990) Mace: [1d10 + 2*6 + 6] -> [6,12,6] = (24)
10:58 (2990) Mace: (( I do it right? ))
10:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: As the magic washes over Mace, his hand feels steadier and the lockpicking seems to come easier.
10:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yep)
10:59 (2990) Mace: (( Yay! ))
10:59 (2990) Mace: (( /me gives art a banana. ))
11:00 ** (2990) Mace channels a fellow from a game called Thief and wonders what a game is as he picks the lock. **
11:00 (2981) Natrix: (heheh)
11:00 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Mace feels the tumblers click after only about 20 seconds.
11:01 (2990) Mace: Ah! Got it.
11:01 ** (2990) Mace opens the door. **
11:01 (2968) Zeke: "Now, can we leave?"
11:01 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Did Natrix do the command spell as a one-time cast or has he been maintaining it the whole time?)
11:02 (2990) Mace: (( The guard's coming back isn't he? /me takes away art's banana. ))
11:02 (2981) Natrix: (The guard will be back when he does his rounds again. it is not being maintained. We will probably have to kill him)
11:02 (2981) Natrix: (oh well)
11:02 (2985) Tusken: (oh, bananowned!)
11:02 (2968) Zeke: ((Mod plan C time if that happens))
11:02 (2971) Silva: (Yah)
11:02 (2971) Silva: (I have a fun spell to try when he dies.)
11:03 (2990) Mace: (( We can throw the old man at him? ))
11:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Distant footsteps can be heard coming from the other direction. The guard won't remember opening the cell, and so will be pretty upset to find prisoners wandering around or see an empty cell.
11:03 (2968) Zeke: ((If that'll work, why the hell not!))
11:03 (2990) Mace: (( Do we have time to jet? ))
11:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: It will still be about 10 seconds before he turns the corner, judging by the volume.
11:03 (2968) Zeke: "Back in the cell?"
11:04 (2990) Mace: (( Will it lock again? Does it matter because I have a lockpick now? ))
11:04 (2981) Natrix: (will he be able to tell if it is locked?)
11:04 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (There's no visual indication of it being locked or not)
11:04 (2981) Natrix: (Ok, then lets play it safe and sneak back into the cell)
11:04 (2990) Mace: (( Sounds good. ))
11:05 ** (2968) Zeke smoves back into the cell **
11:05 (2971) Silva: (Ok)
11:05 ** (2990) Mace pockets his pick and heads back into the cell. **
11:05 (2981) Natrix: As does Natrix
11:05 (2981) Natrix: once everyone is in, Natrix gently closes the door
11:05 (2990) Mace: (( We should leave Tusken out there to deal with him. ))
11:05 (2971) Silva: Silva moves back into the cell, and resumes sitting in the farthest croner, away from everyone.
11:06 (2990) Mace: (( Does the old man do the same or is he gonna be stupid? ))
11:06 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Natrix closes the gate just in time. The gate to this corridor opens and the footsteps get louder as the guard approaches again.
11:06 (2968) Zeke: ((Mod 2 plan C will have to cover that))
11:07 (2990) Mace: (( Maybe we'll get lucky and the old man is some powerful wizard who..can't..break...out...nevermind. ))
11:07 (2981) Natrix: Natrix stands there and looks like he hasnt done anything wrong in hs entire life
11:08 ** (2990) Mace stands there and looks like there's just something generally wrong about his entire life. **
11:08 ** (2968) Zeke settles himself down, near the gate **
11:09 (2981) Natrix: (hey, is it possible to use a lock pick to lock a door without the key?)
11:09 (2981) Natrix: (just out of curiosity)
11:10 (2990) Mace: (( That's a good question... ))
11:10 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yes, but not in such a small amount of time
11:11 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Not without a very high MoS anyway)
11:11 (2968) Zeke: ((Lock the door after us?))
11:11 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The guard passes by without saying a word, he simply jeers.
11:11 (2981) Natrix: (after making his key too big to fit through the door he just came through yeah)
11:12 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Hehe. That's a creative use of enlarge. I like that)
11:12 (2990) Mace: (( So lock the door the the hall, right? ))
11:12 ** (2968) Zeke flicks an ear his way, but otherwise does nothing. **
11:12 (2981) Natrix: (yeah)
11:12 (2990) Mace: (( *fires typist* OK, cool. ))
11:13 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The footsteps start to get quieter again.
11:14 ** (2968) Zeke stands up. **
11:14 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The old man whispers across the hall. "If we don't want him to see the empty cells and sound the alarm, we'll have to deal with him."
11:14 (2981) Natrix: As the guard turns his back heading toward the door again, natrix silent casts a spell which will make the guards key a bit bigger. The spell is too weak to have feedback and the cost if 5 strands. Natrix will simply maintain it
11:14 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+5-5] -> [2,5,-5] = (2)
11:15 (2981) Natrix: "Now, if you can mace, go lock the door behind him as he leaves. Even if he does sound the alarm, he will not be able to deal with us"
11:15 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Now you have to actually hit the key, Ranged)
11:15 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+14] -> [1,14] = (15)
11:15 ** (2990) Mace nods and waits to see if Natrix actually hit the key before leaving the cell. **
11:15 (2981) Natrix: shit
11:15 (2968) Zeke: ((Oops... I got the guard :P))
11:16 (2985) Tusken: (Nice shooting, Tex)
11:16 (2981) Natrix: 15-1d10
11:16 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Got company. We'll take an extended break for 30 or 45 minutes. Be back then)
11:16 (2981) Natrix: (we can always kill him...)
11:16 (2990) Mace: OK
11:16 (2985) Tusken: (alrighty)
11:16 (2981) Natrix: Boooo!!
11:16 (2990) Mace: (( oops. ))
11:16 (2981) Natrix: (Well, that was a cool idea...)
11:16 (2985) Tusken: (Boo responsibility! Hooray beer!!)
11:16 (2981) Natrix: (would have worked,...)
11:17 (2990) Mace: (( If we're going to be breaking for that long, I think I might take a shower. *laughs* It's really hot next to the computer. ))
11:17 (2971) Silva: (ok)
11:17 (2968) Zeke: ((No! Not now! the suspense!))
11:17 (2968) Zeke: ((Eh, I'll deal with it.))
11:17 (2990) Mace: (( So I'll be afk for a bit and back before too long. ))
11:19 (2981) Natrix: (bah... you people and your houseguests and hygene
11:19 (2981) Natrix: )
11:19 (2981) Natrix: You know... there is something kinda charming about low level magic
11:26 (2968) Zeke: ((This is where I should quote Solo.))
11:27 (2968) Zeke: (("Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. "))
11:28 (2981) Natrix: (I would agree... save when a spoken word and a gesture is more powerful than a blaster... as my spells are bwahahaha)
11:29 (2968) Zeke: (('Cept that blasters seem to do damage quicker. Can't cast if you're dead))
11:30 (2981) Natrix: (that is why I mentally dominate you without you noticing and order you to give me the blaster)
11:31 (2971) Silva: (Or use the more powerfull version of the phase spell,... Invulnerable to attacks from non-mages)
11:32 (2981) Natrix: (yeah, but I am not powerful enough to do that)
11:33 (2968) Zeke: ((Now a mix of magic and a blaster, that would be quite good...))
11:34 (2990) Mace: (( Where is anyone going to get a blaster in Hightower? ))
11:35 (2968) Zeke: ((Point.))
11:35 (2981) Natrix: (no idea)
11:36 (2981) Natrix: (Still, I have always wanted to do a crossover between normal D&D and Star Wars. Bring a mage or something into the Rebellion)
11:36 (2990) Mace: (( I suppose someone could create something that shoots magical energy in the form of blaster type shots. They could also do the same with lightsabers. ))
11:36 (2981) Natrix: (possible)
11:37 (2990) Mace: (( Sort of like gambit charging cards. Instead, you charge wood pellets or something. ))
11:37 (2968) Zeke: ((Fire them out of some sort of pellet gun...))
11:38 (2968) Zeke: ((Like an air gun))
11:38 (2990) Mace: (( Pending they even have that. ))
11:38 (2981) Natrix: (you could maybe make one)
11:39 (2968) Zeke: ((Might just need a coil spring /wild speculation))
11:39 (2990) Mace: (( A really big gun. Caster enchants projectile inside, pulls trigger. Trigger triggers swatter that hits dwarves. Dwarves load enchanted projectile in a catapult and pull and release. ))
11:40 (2981) Natrix: Or you could just affix an ether cyrstal to a blaster like object and have it cast the spell...
11:40 (2968) Zeke: ((That wins in the KISS stakes.)
11:40 (2990) Mace: (( This is true. And it's less likely to toss a dwarf as well. ))
11:44 (2981) Natrix: (KISS?)
11:44 (2968) Zeke: (Keep It Simple Stupid!)
11:46 (2981) Natrix: (ah. I was about to say, I have not been kissed in almost 2 years...)
11:46 (2981) Natrix: (hehe)
11:46 (2990) Mace: (( That sucks. ))
11:46 (2981) Natrix: (hehe... you get used to it)
11:47 (2990) Mace: (( I suppose, but that requires being alone and being alone is ass. ))
11:49 (2981) Natrix: (indeed)
11:50 (2981) Natrix: (but I couldnt help playing with the acronym)
11:50 (2971) Silva: Getting food. Be right back
11:50 (2981) Natrix: (BOOO!)
11:52 (2990) Mace: (( *throws golden bananas at the empty throne of the Great Monkey* ))
11:52 (2971) Silva: (Booo what?)
11:53 (2990) Mace: (( What did you get to eat? ))
11:53 (2971) Silva: (Nice warm pizza)
11:53 (2990) Mace: (( Oooh, pizza. ))
11:54 (2981) Natrix: (mmm Pizza)
11:55 (2990) Mace: (( All I've had today is a bowl of Lucky Charms and a Peanut Butter and Raspberry Preserve sandwich... I needs some meat, I do. ))
11:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Interestingly enough, there was a Hightower / Star Wars crossover campaign once, and it was so horrendous that I finally vowed never again to do crossovers)
11:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (So my advice, don't go there)
11:56 (2990) Mace: (( Maybe you didn't do it right. ))
11:56 (2981) Natrix: (yeah)
11:56 (2981) Natrix: (maybe you didnt)
11:56 (2990) Mace: (( Maybe you suck. ))
11:56 (2990) Mace: (( ;) ))
11:56 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (I know I didn't do it right, but I question where there's even a right way to do it)
11:56 (2990) Mace: (( Well, you just have to look at why it went wrong and think of what could be made right. ))
11:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (I suppose. It did use a pretty primitive version of the Tensided rules. Different settings would mesh together much better now, but I still don't think it would be very good. For one thing, any weapon that can blow fist-sized chunks out of solid metal bulkheads isn't going to be stopped by a protection spell, so a mage wouldn't be very powerful in the SW setting)
11:59 (2990) Mace: (( Allow for stronger mages or make up a reason why those weapons aren't available. ))
12:00 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (A reason why a standard stormtrooper blaster isn't available? Then it wouldn't exactly be Star Wars, would it? I just don't think you can reconcile the two, and I can't think of a compelling storyline to use in such a setting either. Anyway, is everyone here or do we still ahve AFK people? Sound off)
12:00 (2968) Zeke: (Yo!)
12:00 (2971) Silva: (Here)
12:00 (2990) Mace: (( Present, teacher! ))
12:01 (2981) Natrix: (me here)
12:01 ** (2981) Natrix licks the GM **
12:01 ** (2982) arthurtuxedo shudders. **
12:02 ** (2990) Mace gives the Great Monkey a hug. **
12:02 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (I got your "great monkey". Wonder where gerard is. I'll call him)
12:02 (2981) Natrix: (Oh, I am sure you do....Wait...)
12:02 (2990) Mace: (( A girl can hope! ))
12:03 (2990) Mace: (( So when will you be bringing it over? ))
12:03 (2981) Natrix: (indeed. I want to touch your great monkey)
12:03 (2981) Natrix: (pet it even0
12:04 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (...)
12:04 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (...)
12:04 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (You're fired)
12:04 (2981) Natrix: (sorry, the pun was too horrible to pass up)
12:04 (2990) Mace: (( You suck. ))
12:04 (2985) Tusken: (whee)
12:05 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Okay, so we left off with the guard walking away and Natrix enlarging his key so it won't fit into the locks.)
12:05 (2981) Natrix: yes
12:05 (2981) Natrix: (yes)
12:05 (2985) Tusken: (did it really, thought? I thought he rolled a 1 on his ranged attack)
12:05 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Natrix misses the shot, but it occurs to him that he can use a less powerful spell, as even an imperceptable increase in size will still cause it to not fit, and then make it inerrant.
12:06 (2990) Mace: (( Oooh. ))
12:06 (2982) arthurtuxedo: With the silent casting and the invisible nature of the projectile, the guard doesn't notice.
12:06 (2981) Natrix: (indeed)
12:06 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (1 strand should do the trick, I think)
12:06 (2981) Natrix: (why thank you)
12:06 (2990) Mace: (( *gives more golden bananas to the Great Monkey* ))
12:07 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (So you recast it as an inerrant projectile, then?)
12:07 (2981) Natrix: (ja)
12:08 (2981) Natrix: (I dont even need to roll for it I dont think)
12:08 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Not really, no)
12:08 (2981) Natrix: (so um... consider it casted)
12:08 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Natrix quickly casts a follow up. There's no visual or audible indication of whether it worked, but Natrix can tell it did.
12:09 ** (2990) Mace waits until the guard is through and whatnot and goes and lockpicks the lock...locked.. **
12:09 (2981) Natrix: Natrix smiles, his sharp stabby snake teeth look kinda pretty
12:09 (2990) Mace: (( Do I have to roll for that too? ))
12:09 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yes)
12:09 (2990) Mace: (( Same stuffs? ))
12:10 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yep)
12:10 (2990) Mace: [1d10 + 2*6 + 6] -> [6,12,6] = (24)
12:10 (2981) Natrix: (I can buff your skill. it take me no energy to maintain a 1 strand spell)
12:10 (2971) Silva: (ITs aptitude for the skill, right?)
12:10 (2990) Mace: (( Hopefully I don't need it. ))
12:10 (2985) Tusken: (me speak like Tarzan)
12:10 (2990) Mace: (( You smell like him, too. ))
12:10 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Different stats for different applications. Dexterity to pick a lock)
12:11 (2968) Zeke: ((Low blow! Low blow!))
12:11 (2981) Natrix: (the great part is, he wont notice his key doesnt fit. the change is so small he probably would think the lock is stuck and that he must have locked it accidentally)
12:11 (2982) arthurtuxedo: After about 2 minutes, it's clearly not working. Prison locks are fairly difficult. If he just had some of that mojo he had earlier when Natrix cast the spell, he's sure he could do it.
12:11 (2971) Silva: (Buffing dexterity. 3 rounds. +2 dex. [1d10+4-4] -> [7,4,-4] = (7) I think that how I do it)
12:12 ** (2990) Mace looks at Natrix. **
12:12 (2981) Natrix: Natrix casts the same spell he did before [1d10+10-10] -> [2,10,-10] = (2)
12:12 (2971) Silva: (Continous spell, total -1 to magic skill now.)
12:12 (2981) Natrix: (your security skill is now 11)
12:12 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (+5 security, +2 dex for mace)
12:12 (2990) Mace: (( Sweet. ))
12:13 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Time is running out before the guard makes another round)
12:13 (2971) Silva: (You know, I think that should have been 8 strands/2, but either way it works.)
12:13 (2990) Mace: [1d10 + 2*11 + 8] -> [7,22,8] = (37)
12:13 ** (2990) Mace works a little faster to get the lock locked. **
12:13 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (You could have managed more than 4 strands, if that's what you mean)
12:14 ** (2990) Mace isn't too concerned, though. He can probably pelt the guy with his fist. **
12:14 ** (2990) Mace is cool under pressure like that. **
12:14 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Despite spending two minutes futilely working at the lock just a minute ago, he now sets a new personal best and hears it click after just 6 seconds.
12:14 ** (2990) Mace nods. **
12:14 (2990) Mace: Of course.
12:15 (2971) Silva: (I only have a half concentration. So, 10 strands/2=5 2 strands for 1 buff points, so 4)
12:15 ** (2990) Mace walks back to Natrix and pats the snake on the...shoulder... **
12:15 (2990) Mace: Thanks.
12:15 ** (2968) Zeke asks "Are we leaving now?" **
12:15 (2990) Mace: I think we should.
12:15 (2981) Natrix: "My pleasure We should go"
12:15 ** (2990) Mace looks at the old man. **
12:15 (2990) Mace: Lead us, old timer.
12:16 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "This way." says the old man. "And if we lock this gate behind us, too, then he won't be able to get into this section at all."
12:16 (2990) Mace: (( How long am I a buffed type o' guy? ))
12:16 ** (2968) Zeke follows the oldie **
12:16 (2981) Natrix: (I am maintaining the spell)
12:16 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (As long as they maintain the spells)
12:16 (2990) Mace: (( Sweet. ))
12:16 ** (2985) Tusken follows the others. **
12:17 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The old man leads the group to the gate at the other end of the hall and waits for Mace to pick the lock.
12:17 ** (2990) Mace waits for everyone to get through the gate and moves to lock it. **
12:17 (2990) Mace: [1d10 + 2*11 + 8] -> [7,22,8] = (37)
12:17 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Another 6 seconds is all it takes to pick the lock. Once everyone is through, Mace relocks it.
12:17 (2981) Natrix: 'these are going to be some very confused prison guards"
12:17 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (another roll for the relock)
12:17 ** (2990) Mace nods. **
12:17 (2990) Mace: (( Same roll? ))
12:18 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Same yes)
12:18 (2990) Mace: [1d10 + 2*11 + 8] -> [3,22,8] = (33)
12:18 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The relocking takes a little longer, but it clicks after 30 seconds.
12:18 (2968) Zeke: ((A little longer that time?))
12:18 (2971) Silva: Silva smiles at that to herself, imagining all the chaos, possible firings, maybe even a few gaurds's executions...
12:19 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The passageway forks at this point. There are rows of cells straight ahead and to the left. The old man points straight ahead.
12:19 (2981) Natrix: Natrix follows
12:19 (2990) Mace: (( We should break everyone out and start a good ol' fashioned prison riot. ))
12:19 ** (2968) Zeke continues to follow. **
12:20 (2981) Natrix: (that would be amusing)
12:20 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Continuing on, he says "Here comes the hard part. To get from the cells to the living quarters you have to go through a double gate with two guards, and they've got a bell right next to them. I hope you've got more tricks up your sleeves."
12:20 (2971) Silva: Silva follows everyone else.
12:21 (2990) Mace: (( All we'd need to get them started is have Tusken tell the prisoners he slept with their mothers and sisters...and fathers..and brothers... ))
12:21 (2981) Natrix: 'that could be the hard part.."
12:21 (2990) Mace: (( Hmm..maybe we should start a riot and get all the guards concentrating on that. ))
12:22 (2981) Natrix: (they would cut the prisoners down like the harvest... wouldnt work)
12:22 (2990) Mace: (( Of course, the trick with that would be to stay out of the riot ourselves. ))
12:22 (2990) Mace: (( Yeah, that's very true. ))
12:22 (2971) Silva: (I could animate a dead person. Though, we need a body.)
12:22 (2968) Zeke: ((Look! Look! A blindingly obvious distraction!))
12:22 (2985) Tusken: (use the old man)
12:22 (2990) Mace: (( Do we need the old man anymore? ))
12:23 (2981) Natrix: (wouldnt help... can you cast a holding spell on one guard, I get the other?)
12:23 (2990) Mace: (( Is there a silencing spell for the bell? ))
12:23 (2981) Natrix: (I will have to drop the lockpick spell, and buff my willpower)
12:23 (2968) Zeke: "If only I had my knives..."
12:23 (2981) Natrix: (that could work....)
12:23 (2990) Mace: (( Or could you make the bell really small? ))
12:23 (2981) Natrix: (that would also work)
12:23 (2971) Silva: (Um, let me check.)
12:23 (2990) Mace: (( No one's gonna hear a tink tink tink. ))
12:24 (2990) Mace: (( Can you make their weapons small? ))
12:24 (2981) Natrix: (yes)
12:24 (2990) Mace: (( Or their lungs? ))
12:24 (2981) Natrix: (no...)
12:24 (2981) Natrix: (but clever)
12:24 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (A silence spell will work on a bell, but it's thaumaturgy and neither of them have a concentration in that)
12:24 (2981) Natrix: (How many strands would it take me to destroy the bell?)
12:25 (2971) Silva: (I can cast a spell to paralyse, but only at half concentration)
12:25 (2990) Mace: (( What about making them so big they can't function? ))
12:25 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (The bell is fairly large, so it would take some serious firepower)
12:25 (2968) Zeke: ((Destroying the bell might be... noisy.))
12:26 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (I can think of a couple ways you can do this)
12:26 (2990) Mace: (( What about just destroying the dangly bit on the bell? ))
12:26 (2981) Natrix: (i couldnt hit that...)
12:26 (2985) Tusken: (threaten them with death unless they let us through?)
12:26 (2971) Silva: (As could I)
12:26 ** (2968) Zeke looks for a handy rock or two [1d10+5] -> [3,5] = (8) **
12:26 (2990) Mace: (( Make the bell fall down so they can't pick it up? ))
12:26 (2981) Natrix: (OK, here is what I can do. I can use Brute telekinesis to pull both of them away from the door and the bell. if you can take them out from there...)
12:26 (2971) Silva: (Edit: I might be able to hit it.)
12:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Let me clarify, it's a large bell mounted above and there's a rope that rings it)
12:27 (2990) Mace: (( Take out the rope? Set it on fire? ))
12:27 (2971) Silva: (So, if we take out the riope, they can't ring it?)
12:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Correct)
12:27 (2990) Mace: (( Have lightening come down and set it alight. It's an act of god! ))
12:28 (2971) Silva: (I am reasonably sure I coould do that.)
12:28 (2981) Natrix: (hehe. OK. It si best to have redundancy. Silva, take out the rope, a simple destruction spell should do it. Not direct damage, destruction. 2 points of damage per strand. I will yank them away from the door toward us)
12:28 (2968) Zeke: ((Gott Mit Uns!))
12:28 (2971) Silva: (Taking off continous lockpick spell, augmentation hand to hand spell. Putting on an augment ranged spell. +2 ranged, continous.)
12:29 (2981) Natrix: (hey now, I am the only one allowed to speak Nazi around here)
12:29 (2971) Silva: (Ok.)
12:29 (2968) Zeke: ((:P))
12:29 (2971) Silva: (So, how long do we have before they ring it? A round? Will my spell go off beofre them if I cast it as a 1 round one?)
12:29 (2990) Mace: (( What weapons do they have? ))
12:30 (2981) Natrix: (If you can silence it, they wont know you are casting it)
12:30 (2981) Natrix: (I cant silence mine, but I dont need to)
12:30 (2981) Natrix: (hehehe)
12:30 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Coming closer the group can see the two gates and the guards, distance is 20 meters. They don't see the group.
12:30 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (They have cudgels and short swords)
12:30 (2971) Silva: (Ok, so this is what I have. NOT casting)
12:31 (2971) Silva: (3 rounds(+0), silent(-3), 8 strands desturction spell.(16 damage)) (Work?)
12:31 (2990) Mace: (( Cudgel as in asian staff weapon or as in club? ))
12:32 (2981) Natrix: (that will kill most people, it should destroy the rope)
12:32 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (As in a club. Something to beat down the prisoners without killing them.)
12:33 (2971) Silva: (Wait, with 3 rounds, and my ability, I get +1 to strand. add in +2 to hit.)
12:33 (2968) Zeke: ((Gee. Never knew they cared that much.))
12:33 (2990) Mace: (( Heaven forbid a prisoner die. Although, does that mean they may not be hitting as hard as they could? ))
12:33 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (That's fine. Go ahead and cast)
12:33 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Some prisoners are too important to summarily slaughter. For the ones that aren't, short sword :) )
12:34 (2990) Mace: (( We could be important. We may become evangelists for their god! ))
12:35 (2971) Silva: (So; Wrath/Destruction spell. 3 round casting time(+1 due to fast casting ability) silent(-3 due to ability) 8 strand destruction spell(16 damage, 8 strands.) +2 to hit. 9 strands. [1d10+8-9] -> [4,8,-9] = (3) Aiming at the bell, 17 attack at to hit(with the +2 facotred in) [1d10+17] -> [5,17] = (22)
12:36 (2971) Silva: (MOS=3, so no fatiuge for me.)
12:36 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Okay, while Silva casts that, what is Natrix casting?)
12:36 (2981) Natrix: Natrix begins speaking. "COme one come both forward now you oafs". (2 targets, 9 strands of knock forward, so 45 points.) [1d10+7] -> [3,7] = (10)
12:36 (2981) Natrix: (just done)
12:36 (2981) Natrix: (he is pulling them away from the door and rope)
12:37 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard 1's Physique = [1d5 + 5] -> [4,5] = (9)
12:37 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard 2's Physique = [1d5 + 5] -> [1,5] = (6)
12:38 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Both men are yanked forward and collide with the second gate as the rope is severed. They are not injured thanks to their armor, but they are knocked to the ground.
12:38 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Round 1
12:38 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard 1's init: [1d10 + 1d10 + 10] -> [7,4,10] = (21)
12:38 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard 2's init: [1d10 + 1d10 + 10] -> [6,5,10] = (21)
12:38 (2990) Mace: (( Is initiative different if we have no weapons? ))
12:39 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Technically yes, but just use whatever's convenient. It's not a big deal)
12:39 (2968) Zeke: ((me is using unarmed/claws))
12:39 (2968) Zeke: [1d10+24] -> [9,24] = (33)
12:39 (2990) Mace: (( All I have is my meaty fists. ))
12:39 (2990) Mace: [1d10+14] -> [6,14] = (20)
12:40 (2971) Silva: [1d10+17] -> [9,17] = (26)
12:40 (2981) Natrix: Natrix init(athelet +magic)
12:40 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+17] -> [7,17] = (24)
12:40 (2985) Tusken: [1d10+19] -> [8,19] = (27)
12:40 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Map scale is 2 to 1)
12:41 (2971) Silva: (Each square is 2m, or 10m?)
12:41 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (2 m)
12:42 (2968) Zeke: ((Hokay. Me first?))
12:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 1. Zeke
12:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 2. Tusken
12:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 3. Silva
12:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 4. Natrix
12:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 5. Guards 1 and 2
12:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 6. Mace
12:43 ** (2968) Zeke drops to all fours and explodes forward. **
12:43 (2981) Natrix: (what kind of armor are they wearing?)
12:43 ** (2985) Tusken rushes forward. **
12:43 (2971) Silva: Silva starts casting.(Ill put it up in a second)
12:44 (2981) Natrix: Natrix also begins casting
12:44 (2981) Natrix: (this time he doesnt bother with making it cast in his normal voice tone
12:46 (2971) Silva: (1 round(-2), projectile(+0), 25m speed(+1), 10 strands of fatiuge(10) [1d10+9-10] -> [9,9,-10] = (8)) (Aiming at gaurd 2, [1d10+15] -> [1,15] = (16) to hit)
12:46 (2971) Silva: [16-1d10] -> [16,-10] = (6)
12:46 (2981) Natrix: (armor?)
12:46 (2971) Silva: (Err. What do I do wif I roll a 1, then a 10?)
12:46 (2981) Natrix: (I want to destroy it)
12:47 (2981) Natrix: (either that, or make them incompetant with their weapons)
12:48 (2985) Tusken: (I think the Monkey is busy playing with his banana)
12:49 (2990) Mace: (( They do that. ))
12:49 (2981) Natrix: (1 round casting time, guard 1, buff his aptitude by 7 points, while debuffing his physique by 7 point. I make him smarter, but easier to kill and reduce his base damage)
12:49 (2981) Natrix: (total strand cost is 7)
12:50 (2971) Silva: (Does anyone know what to do iif I roll a 1, then a 10?)
12:50 (2981) Natrix: (you dont roll that for spells)
12:50 (2985) Tusken: (then you roll it again. 6-1d10)
12:50 (2968) Zeke: ((You know, I might just be able to beat him then.))
12:50 (2985) Tusken: (for the casting, no, but for the ranged attack, yes)
12:51 (2981) Natrix: (if you roll a 1 in spellcasting, it just counts as a 1)
12:51 (2981) Natrix: (ah... yeah)
12:51 (2971) Silva: (Uh oh. [6-1d10] -> [6,-2] = (4))(It was the attack roll.)
12:52 (2981) Natrix: (you need to put points in ranged... or not use attack spells)
12:52 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Sorry, had to say the goodbyes)
12:52 (2981) Natrix: (ah. Well your sins are forgiven)
12:52 (2990) Mace: (( That's code. ))
12:52 (2985) Tusken: (yeah, we know what you were doing)
12:52 (2971) Silva: (I have a +15 to hit)(I just rolled a 1, then a 10, then a 2.)
12:54 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (The red lines are the two gates)
12:55 (2985) Tusken: (hmm)
12:55 (2981) Natrix: (seems someone will have to blast the door...)
12:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (By the way, when we do casting that's more than instant, we save the roll for casting time to eliminate the need to scroll up)
12:55 (2968) Zeke: I don't think I can brute force them somehow
12:55 (2981) Natrix: (yeah... which is why I didnt roll)
12:56 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The guards get to their feet.
12:56 (2971) Silva: (Ok, Ill re-roll it when its time, Or, do you want me to keep the roll?)
12:57 ** (2990) Mace heads forward whenever my turn gets here. **
12:57 (2985) Tusken: (that would be now)
12:57 (2990) Mace: (( Ha... ))
12:58 (2990) Mace: (( How may sqaures am i allowed? ))
12:58 (2990) Mace: (( Talking on the phone and typing is hard. ))
12:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (3 squares. Keep the roll)
12:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Round 2
12:59 (2985) Tusken: [1d10+19] -> [2,19] = (21)
12:59 (2990) Mace: [1d10+14] -> [8,14] = (22)
12:59 (2968) Zeke: [1d10+24] -> [8,24] = (32)
12:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 14] -> [1,14] = (15)
12:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 15] -> [2,15] = (17)
12:59 (2971) Silva: [1d10+17] -> [1,17] = (18)
12:59 (2971) Silva: [18-1d10] -> [18,-6] = (12)
12:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 1. Zeke (looks like Zeke will always be first with an init like that)
12:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 2. Mace
12:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 3. Tusken
01:00 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 4. Guard 2
01:00 (2981) Natrix: natrix [1d10+17] -> [9,17] = (26)
01:00 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 5. Guard 1
01:00 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (The others are still casting, yes?)
01:00 (2968) Zeke: ((Just call me Speedy!))
01:00 (2981) Natrix: (my spell goes off this round yeah)
01:00 (2971) Silva: (My spell goes off this round)
01:01 ** (2968) Zeke reaches the gate and attempts to pick using a claw. **
01:01 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Ah, okay, so 2. Natrix, 7. Silva. I'm sure you can adjust the other numbers mentally)
01:01 (2968) Zeke: ((What's the penalty on that?))
01:01 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (OK, you'd have to roll a 28)
01:02 (2968) Zeke: ((Dex right?))
01:02 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yep)
01:02 (2968) Zeke: [1d10+2] -> [2,2] = (4)
01:02 (2968) Zeke: (Fail!)
01:02 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (You needed a 30 ;) )
01:02 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Mace's turn)
01:02 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Actually Natrix, then Mace)
01:03 (2968) Zeke: ((Worth a crack, right?))
01:03 (2990) Mace: (( Can I sprint? ))
01:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Sure, you could have rolled 2 10's and an 8)
01:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yeah you can sprint)
01:03 (2981) Natrix: The spell goes off. Natrix trades guard 1s intelligence for his physical strength (+7 aptitude -7 physique, total cost 7 strands) [1d10+7-7] -> [6,7,-7] = (6)
01:04 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (OK, attack roll)
01:04 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+14] -> [4,14] = (18)
01:05 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Almost. Needed 2 more)
01:05 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The spell barely misses the guard.
01:05 ** (2990) Mace sprints to the gate. **
01:05 (2981) Natrix: (damn)
01:05 (2981) Natrix: (alright... time to destroy the door lock then)
01:06 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (It's 2 to 1 scale. So at sprint speed you can move 3 squares)
01:06 (2990) Mace: (( Dammit...that's right. ))
01:06 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Tusken's turn)
01:07 ** (2985) Tusken continues forward. **
01:08 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Looking at the broken rope, the guards look at each other. "We can take them." #2 says as he unlocks the second gate.
01:08 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Silva's turn)
01:08 (2990) Mace: (( I just realized we have no armor. Lame. ))
01:08 (2968) Zeke: ((Zeke concurs.))
01:09 (2990) Mace: (( And this becomes the shortest campaign ever. ))
01:09 (2968) Zeke: ((Well... Not about the armour.))
01:09 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Silva sends a bolt of pure fatigue at one of the guards, but slips on a pebble at the time of casting and it goes wide.
01:09 (2971) Silva: (The spell went off, with a 8 MOS, and a 2 to hit. 10 strand fatiuge.)
01:09 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Round 3
01:09 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 14] -> [8,14] = (22)\
01:09 (2968) Zeke: ((2AP and 19 defence had better be enough.))
01:09 (2990) Mace: [1d10+14] -> [3,14] = (17)
01:09 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 15] -> [9,15] = (24)
01:09 (2981) Natrix: (If I can hit with spells, you wont need the armor so much...)
01:09 (2968) Zeke: [1d10+24] -> [5,24] = (29)
01:09 (2985) Tusken: [1d10+19] -> [4,19] = (23)
01:09 (2971) Silva: [1d10+17] -> [7,17] = (24)
01:09 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+17] -> [8,17] = (25)
01:10 (2990) Mace: (( Then make with the hitting. ))
01:10 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 1. Zeke
01:10 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 2. Natrix
01:10 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 3. Silva, guard 2
01:10 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 4. Tusken
01:10 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 5. Guard 1
01:10 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 6. Mace
01:11 ** (2968) Zeke gets out of the way **
01:12 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Natrix' turn)
01:13 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (While he's doing that, Silva's turn)
01:13 (2971) Silva: Silva casts a 1 phase spell.
01:13 (2981) Natrix: Natrix casts a 1 round spell
01:13 (2981) Natrix: (aaahh... got my spell worked out0
01:14 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard 2 walks through and up to the first gate.
01:14 ** (2985) Tusken opens his mouth wide and growls, allowing spittle to fly. "Surrender or die, heathens!" (intimidation) [1d10+16] -> [10,16] = (26) **
01:15 (2985) Tusken: [26+1d10] -> [26,3] = (29)
01:15 (2971) Silva: (! phase(-4), projectile(+0), 7 strands of fatiuge(+7)=7 strands with a -4 to magic skill. [1d10+6-7] -> [10,6,-7] = (9) Aiming at gaurd 2. [1d10+15] -> [10,15] = (25))
01:15 (2981) Natrix: (nice)
01:15 (2971) Silva: ([1d10+25] -> [6,25] = (31))
01:15 (2981) Natrix: (now you just have to hit)
01:15 (2971) Silva: (31 to hit!)
01:16 (2981) Natrix: (how the hell....)
01:16 (2971) Silva: (a 10, then a 6) (:))
01:16 (2981) Natrix: (ah)
01:16 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Tusken bellows so fiercly and aggressively that both guards practically piss their pants. "Eep," #2 manages.
01:16 ** (2968) Zeke eeps **
01:16 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Mace's turn)
01:17 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (#1 just stood there during his turn)
01:17 (2990) Mace: (( I honestly am not sure what to do here. *laughs* ))
01:17 (2985) Tusken: (contemplating wetting himself, of course)
01:17 (2968) Zeke: ((Grab 2!))
01:17 (2990) Mace: (( Am I close enough? ))
01:17 (2985) Tusken: (bash his skull into the gate)
01:18 (2990) Mace: (( OK. ))
01:18 ** (2990) Mace grabs two and bashes his wittle brain into the gate. **
01:18 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yes, grab his ass by the collar and pull him forward into the gate headfirst)
01:18 (2971) Silva: (Um, my spell went of this turn)
01:18 (2990) Mace: [1d10+16] -> [5,16] = (21)
01:18 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yes, but it hasn't gone off yet. It's still phase 1)
01:18 (2971) Silva: (*off)
01:18 (2971) Silva: (Oh)
01:19 (2990) Mace: (( I'm guessing that was a hth combat move. ))
01:19 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (But it will take until phase 3 for Mace to get to the gate, so now Silva's spell goes off)
01:19 (2968) Zeke: ((3 phases/round, right?))
01:20 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Crushing waves of fatigue wash over guard #2 as the spell hits him. -4 to all rolls
01:20 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (That's correct)
01:20 (2990) Mace: (( Yay for Guard 2 now being with the sucking! ))
01:20 (2981) Natrix: (He is gonna suck even more in a moment)
01:21 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard 2's defense: [1d10 + 14 - 4] -> [2,14,-4] = (12)
01:21 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Mace's attack is actually a 16. No concentration in grappling or percussion)
01:21 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Location)
01:21 (2990) Mace: (( Oh. ))
01:21 (2990) Mace: (( Is it d10 or 20 on this guy? ))
01:21 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Still a hit though, 1d10 for location)
01:21 (2990) Mace: [1d10] -> [5] = (5)
01:22 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Abdomen. Specific location)
01:22 (2990) Mace: (( Spleen? ))
01:22 (2990) Mace: (( Burst his appendix and have him die of the resulting infection. ))
01:22 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (1d10 for specific location)
01:22 (2990) Mace: [1d10] -> [1] = (1)
01:23 (2990) Mace: (( Oh. *laughs* I'm very absent minded today. ))
01:23 (2990) Mace: (( Wait... I was bashing his head into a gate.. Why am I now hitting him in the stomach? ))
01:24 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (You said head? Oh, in that case, roll d20 for specific location)
01:24 (2990) Mace: [1d20] -> [17] = (17)
01:24 (2990) Mace: (( That's what I thought. ))
01:25 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Mace grabs the man by his armor pulls with all his might. In attempting to escape, the man twists his body and he ends up hitting the bar neck first. The impact crushes his jugular and he flops to the ground, dead.
01:25 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Round 4
01:25 (2990) Mace: (( Ouch. ))
01:25 (2990) Mace: [1d10+14] -> [4,14] = (18)
01:25 (2985) Tusken: [1d10+19] -> [8,19] = (27)
01:25 (2968) Zeke: [1d10+24] -> [7,24] = (31)
01:26 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+17] -> [2,17] = (19)
01:26 (2981) Natrix: (damn)
01:26 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Mace is strong as hell. Between him and Tusken, you've got a regular strongman competition)
01:26 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 14] -> [7,14] = (21)
01:26 (2971) Silva: [1d10+17] -> [3,17] = (20)

01:26 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 3. Silva
01:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 4. Natrix
01:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 4. Guard
01:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 5. Natrix
01:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 6. Mace
01:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (scratch that first 4)
01:27 (2968) Zeke: ((We have splatters. We have a lightning fast fighter and a couple og mages. Fun.))
01:27 (2981) Natrix: (og mages?)
01:27 (2985) Tusken: (yeah, it's a new type of mage. They kick ass)
01:28 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Ogre mages. You just can't see them because you don't believe)
01:28 ** (2968) Zeke reaches through the bars and goes for guard 2's keys **
01:28 (2968) Zeke: ((og should be of. Damn typo.))
01:28 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Dextrously twisting his catlike body, Zeke hooks a claw around the keyring and retrieves it.
01:28 (2985) Tusken: (we know, we're just fucking with you)
01:28 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (We know, just giving you shit :) )
01:29 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Tusken's turn)
01:29 (2968) Zeke: ((me knows. :P))
01:29 (2990) Mace: (( It's their national passtime. ))
01:29 (2990) Mace: (( Wow I spelled that wrong. ))
01:29 (2990) Mace: (( *takes her typist and Zeke's typist out back and shoots them* ))
01:29 ** (2985) Tusken hollers at the guard. "Get over here and open this gate, and we might not kill you, too!" (intimidation) [1d10+16] -> [5,16] = (21) **
01:30 (2981) Natrix: (but what if I want to kiill him anyway?)
01:30 (2990) Mace: (( I just had flashbacks of Mortal Kombat on the Sega. ))
01:30 (2985) Tusken: (that's still allowed)
01:30 (2985) Tusken: (I said "might")
01:31 (2981) Natrix: (true)
01:31 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard
01:32 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard's intimidation: [1d10 + 1d6 + 9] -> [10,6,9] = (25)
01:32 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [25 + 1d10] -> [25,4] = (29)
01:32 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "Not a chance, orc! I'll kill you for what you did!"
01:32 (2990) Mace: (( Strongman my arse. ))
01:32 (2985) Tusken: (nm the fact that I didn't do anything)
01:32 (2990) Mace: (( You were born. ))
01:33 (2985) Tusken: (oh, right, of course)
01:33 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Silva's turn)
01:33 (2990) Mace: (( And you breathed his air... AND you spoke to him... Evil, you are. ))
01:33 (2971) Silva: (Casting a 1 round animate dead spell.)
01:33 (2985) Tusken: (I'll have to flog myself later)
01:33 (2981) Natrix: (ick...)
01:33 (2990) Mace: (( I'll help. ;) ))
01:34 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Bellowing, guard 1 charges at Mace.
01:34 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 14] -> [8,14] = (22)
01:34 ** (2990) Mace dodges. **
01:34 (2990) Mace: [1d10+14] -> [2,14] = (16)
01:34 (2990) Mace: (( Maybe not.. ))
01:34 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10] -> [3] = (3)
01:34 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10] -> [1] = (1)
01:35 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Mace attempts to dodge, and succeeds in taking the blow to the left arm instead of the chest.
01:35 (2990) Mace: (( Too bad I couldn't throw the old man in front of me. ))
01:36 (2990) Mace: (( Do I need to roll for damage or anything like that? ))
01:36 (2968) Zeke: ((me has a feeling we've all got low compassion scores...))
01:36 (2985) Tusken: (nah. A hit to the left arm is the definition of inconsequential)
01:36 (2990) Mace: (( Especially these arms! ))
01:36 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 13 damage vs 14 HP. The blade goes through Mace's left arm, cutting and tearing. It doesn't seem like the damage will be permanent, but it's doubtful Mace will be using that arm again for a few days.
01:37 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Left arm = Useless
01:37 (2990) Mace: (( Ouch. ))
01:37 (2985) Tusken: (ouch. I guess he was using his sword, I thought he was using his club)
01:37 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Willpoewr)
01:37 (2990) Mace: [1d10+9] -> [6,9] = (15)
01:37 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (The clubs are for important prisoners, remember?)
01:37 (2985) Tusken: (fucknuggets)
01:38 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Mace fights back the strain of shock and pain.
01:38 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Natrix' turn)
01:38 (2990) Mace: (( He's a juicer. ))
01:38 (2981) Natrix: (the spell goes off. 6 points of physique drain 6 points of awareness increase. +4 to hit-5 to magic skill) SPell: [1d10+5-6] -> [10,5,-6] = (9) Hit: [1d10+18] -> [6,18] = (24)
01:38 (2981) Natrix: (target is of course guard1)
01:38 (2981) Natrix: (do I hit?)
01:39 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard 1 gets hit with the spell and yells "What the hell?" as he practically collapses under the weigh of his armor.
01:39 (2981) Natrix: Even as his body shrivels and his muscles atrophy before your eyes, you notice the guard become accutely more aware. His hands it seems, can touch everyting...but themselves...
01:39 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (-2 all rolls, cannot sprint)
01:39 (2990) Mace: (( There was something in that hippie I just ate. ))
01:39 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Mace's turn)
01:39 (2981) Natrix: (in addition, his base damage and hit points drop)
01:40 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Right)
01:40 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (He was a strong sumbitch. Physique 9. Now he's pathetic)
01:40 (2990) Mace: (( Am I strong enough with one arm to pick this bastage up and slam his head into the gate/ground with one hand? ))
01:40 (2990) Mace: (( Or can I just step on his head really hard? ))
01:40 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Sure, why not?)
01:40 (2985) Tusken: (you should try and get him to tell us where our stuff is)
01:41 (2990) Mace: (( OOoh, right. ))
01:41 ** (2990) Mace picks up the guard by the collar with his good hand. **
01:41 (2981) Natrix: (I can make him tell us...)
01:41 (2990) Mace: Be a nice lad and tell us where our belongings are, will you?
01:41 (2990) Mace: [1d10+18] -> [9,18] = (27)
01:41 (2990) Mace: (( That was intimidation. ))
01:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Okay, first the grab itself though)
01:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard's defense: [1d10 + 14 - 2] -> [4,14,-2] = (16)
01:42 (2981) Natrix: (leave him alive... I If you can hold him down and such, I can use him to heal Mace's wound)
01:42 (2990) Mace: (( Oooh, I likey that. ))
01:42 (2990) Mace: (( What do I roll for the grab, then? ))
01:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (HtH)
01:42 (2990) Mace: [1d10+10] -> [9,10] = (19)
01:43 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Mace hoists the man up with his good hand. He does not resist.
01:43 (2971) Silva: (Fun use of healing...)
01:43 (2981) Natrix: (leaching is my friend... sure the guard will die...)
01:44 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "They're bound for auction. But you can still get to them. The storage room is nearby, and there's only one guard."
01:44 (2981) Natrix: Natrix practically slithers forward. "Now, will you please be so kind as to tell us where our belongings are being kept? hmm?"
01:45 (2981) Natrix: "good"
01:45 (2990) Mace: Point us the right way.
01:45 (2990) Mace: (( Mace can tell a liar too, remember, so no lying. ))
01:45 whispering to arthurtuxedo, Guard's manipulation: [1d10 + 1d10 + 5] -> [5,2,5] = (12)
01:45 (2971) Silva: Silva finishes animating the dead gaurd, and leaves it to stand there. As a warning. Taking off augmentation spell, to put the undead one as continous.
01:46 whispering to arthurtuxedo, Mace's empathy: [1d10 + 13 + 6] -> [7,13,6] = (26)
01:46 (2990) Mace: (( Hey, we can use Silva's puppet on the other guard. Can we have them fight each other? That would be funny. ))
01:46 whispering to Mace, This guy's so full of shit it's coming out his ears.
01:47 ** (2990) Mace senses a disturbance in the guard's words. **
01:47 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (By the way...)
01:47 (2990) Mace: I know you're lying.
01:47 (2982) arthurtuxedo: * End Combat *
01:47 (2990) Mace: You fucking monkey.
01:47 ** (2968) Zeke unlocks the gate **
01:47 (2981) Natrix: (OK. so who wants to hold him there?)
01:47 (2982) arthurtuxedo: He gulps. "Okay, well I had to try, huh? The storage rooms near the front gate. Crawling with guards."
01:47 (2990) Mace: Good.
01:48 (2971) Silva: (Can I tell the undead to hold him?)
01:48 (2990) Mace: How many guards?
01:48 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Sure)
01:48 (2985) Tusken: (what's the guard getup like? Do they have face covering helmets?)
01:48 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "About a dozen."
01:48 (2990) Mace: (( Yeah, can we make with the jacking? ))
01:48 (2981) Natrix: Natrix thinks for a second. This man had tried to kill him and was an agent of great wickedness.. he was no innocent. When they were done interrogating him, Mace would have use of his arm back. One way or the other
01:48 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (No. Just mail coifs)
01:48 (2968) Zeke: "Eh. I don't need those knives that much..."
01:48 (2981) Natrix: (dont we have "backups" as you say?)
01:49 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (The stuff that's on your character sheets as starting inventory is the stuff you have back at your houses. The stuff that was taken from you has nothing to do with it)
01:49 (2968) Zeke: [1d8] -> [7] = (7)
01:49 (2981) Natrix: (ok)
01:49 (2990) Mace: (( Some of us might, but I know I don't. ))
01:49 (2968) Zeke: ((Whoops.))
01:49 (2971) Silva: Silva tells her undead to hold him. She enjoys the(presumably) terrifid look on his face when his dead partner holds him there.
01:49 (2981) Natrix: "well, I have an extra suit of mail and a second staff at home..."
01:49 (2985) Tusken: (oh, well shit, what was taken from us, then?)
01:50 (2990) Mace: (( Yeah, if we don't need our stuff, why are we going to look for it? ))
01:50 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Nothing that was ever on your character sheets)
01:50 (2981) Natrix: "Mace. Would you like the use of your arm back?"
01:50 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (It can be whatever you want. The point is that you'll never see it again)
01:50 ** (2990) Mace nods. **
01:50 (2968) Zeke: ((Even if I'd lost my weapons, I could buy 'em all again... Provided I didn't loose too much cash.))
01:50 (2985) Tusken: (I get it)
01:50 (2990) Mace: Very much so, thank you good Natrix.
01:50 (2981) Natrix: "Then if we can get this man secure, I think I can manage"
01:51 ** (2990) Mace looks to Silva. **
01:51 (2971) Silva: (So, what did the dead gaurd carry?)
01:51 (2981) Natrix: "DIsarm him and cover his mouth"
01:51 (2990) Mace: I think Silva can help in that matter.
01:51 (2990) Mace: Will there be screaming?
01:51 (2971) Silva: Yes?
01:51 (2981) Natrix: 'yes"
01:51 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (The guards have medium mail armor with coif, short swords, and a club. They don't bring personal belongings into the prison)
01:52 (2990) Mace: We need to secure this guard. My arm is not working so I was thinking your puppet there could help.
01:52 (2968) Zeke: ((No knives?))
01:52 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The zombie holds the man in place.
01:52 (2990) Mace: (( I bet at least one has a gerbil up his arse. ))
01:52 (2982) arthurtuxedo: He looks decidedly uncomfortable with this situation.
01:52 (2985) Tusken: "Where is your God now?"
01:52 (2971) Silva: Silva grabs the sword, thinking she can sell it.
01:53 (2990) Mace: What do we have for him to bite on so his screams don't travel?
01:53 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "Screams? Hey now wait a minute, I'm just doing my job here. You can't do this!"
01:53 (2968) Zeke: ((His friend's hand...))
01:53 ** (2990) Mace looks at the zombie's hand. **
01:53 (2990) Mace: Yes, leather is a good noise canceller.
01:54 (2981) Natrix: "This is what I do to instruments of evil." he begins uttering words of arcane power and places one hand on the man's chest, the other on Mace's arm. Releasing the Physique drain spell the moment he begins. "Kestath heessst covinus noc. Votus et imlarian hoic" leaching spell 5 second cast 13 strands
01:54 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+12] -> [7,12] = (19)
01:54 (2968) Zeke: "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori"
01:54 (2971) Silva: *Silva smiles.* And commands the undead to do as it is bid.Cover his mouth
01:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Mace's wound shrinks and a large wound opens up on the guard. His muffled screams would make most people squirm in place.
01:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Willpower: [1d10 + 2 + 1d4 - 8] -> [8,2,4,-8] = (6)
01:55 ** (2990) Mace clenches his teeth as his wound heals. **
01:56 (2982) arthurtuxedo: He remains conscious.
01:56 (2990) Mace: (( That's kind of impressive. ))
01:56 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Mace's left arm is now Damaged (-5)
01:56 (2968) Zeke: "What goes around, comes around."
01:56 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard is now Critical (-5)
01:57 (2981) Natrix: "It should heal naturally."
01:57 ** (2990) Mace looks at his still damaged but partly useable arm and claps Natrix on the shoulder with his good hand. **
01:57 (2990) Mace: Thank you.
01:57 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Panicking, the guard attempts to break free of the zombie's grasp.
01:57 (2981) Natrix: "You're welcome. Believe me, it was my pleasure" he says practically spitting at the wimpering guard in distain
01:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 16 - 5] -> [6,16,-5] = (17)
01:58 (2990) Mace: (( We should let Tusken stomp his brains into the ground. ))
01:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Zombie: [1d10 + 15] -> [1,15] = (16)
01:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [16 - 1d10] -> [16,-9] = (7)
01:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The man pushes free of the zombie and gets ready to run.
01:58 (2985) Tusken: (which one of them still has a sword?)
01:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (I would assume that you disarmed him)
01:58 (2981) Natrix: Natrix casts a quick (1 round) touch spell, dealing 10 strands of damage [1d10+9] -> [1,9] = (10)
01:59 (2971) Silva: Silva casts an instant spell.
01:59 (2981) Natrix: (while he was attemting to free himself)
01:59 (2981) Natrix: (the damage is of course, fire)
02:00 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+13] -> [3,13] = (16) to hit if I am still in range
02:00 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Silva's spell goes off right away as the man pushes free

02:01 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Touching the man sends waves of fatigue through him.
02:02 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Guard's init: [1d10 + 14 - 7] -> [9,14,-7] = (16)
02:02 (2981) Natrix: natrix [1d10+17] -> [9,17] = (26)

02:02 (2985) Tusken: (I wanna hit him)

02:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Roll init if you want to do something, otherwise abstain)
02:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Tusken is fastest)
02:03 (2971) Silva: (The spell did get him, correct?)
02:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yep)
02:03 (2990) Mace: (( Ooh. If we're not actually combating, can I withdraw my roll thingie there? ))
02:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Sure)
02:03 (2985) Tusken: (ok, since I don't have a concentration in percussion, I think my AT is 15, then.) [1d10+15] -> [2,15] = (17)
02:04 (2990) Mace: (( Let Tusken have at him. ))

02:04 (2985) Tusken: [1d10] -> [5] = (5)
02:04 (2981) Natrix: (he fell into my fist I swear)
02:05 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (With a negative defense roll, I think that means that Tusken can just pick wherever he wants the shot to land)
02:05 (2985) Tusken: (temple)
02:05 (2990) Mace: (( Fist in the brain pan squish! ))
02:06 (2982) arthurtuxedo: With a heavy swing that makes the wind whistle, Tusken KO's the man with one punch. He drops.
02:06 ** (2968) Zeke , caught by surprise, fails to react before the blow lands **
02:07 (2985) Tusken: "We should take our leave of this place."
02:07 ** (2990) Mace nods. **
02:07 (2990) Mace: (( Is the old man still with us? ))
02:08 (2981) Natrix: "We should... but we cannot have this one identifying us when he wakes up. Allow me?"
02:08 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The old man waddles up. "Good job there!"
02:08 ** (2990) Mace nods to Natrix. **
02:08 (2990) Mace: He's of no use to the populace, just a scourge. Kill him and allow him to start over anew in another life.
02:08 (2985) Tusken: "Lead us onwards, sir."
02:09 (2990) Mace: Perhaps there he will be benificial.
02:09 (2981) Natrix: Natrix leans over the man and mutters arcane phrases for a few moments
02:10 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+16-14] -> [9,16,-14] = (11) (5 second cast, touch range)
02:11 (2981) Natrix: The man's breathing seems to slow, and get weaker and weaker. Until finally it stops altogether
02:11 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The old man makes a religious sign for the man's passing.
02:12 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "Okay, this way. It's not far."
02:12 (2981) Natrix: Natrix nods
02:12 ** (2990) Mace follows the old man with the group. **
02:12 (2981) Natrix: and follows
02:12 ** (2968) Zeke tags along **
02:12 (2990) Mace: (( Does Mace know if this old man is a lying sack o' shite or not? ))
02:13 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (He's not setting off any alarm bells in Mace's head)
02:13 (2990) Mace: (( I assume he wouldn't lie about such a thing, but who knows? ))
02:13 (2990) Mace: (( OK. ))
02:14 (2982) arthurtuxedo: At the end of the next hallway, the old man stops in front of a door. Keeping his voice low, he says "The chaplain doesn't usually go anywhere, so he'll probably be in there right now. The portal is hidden behind his wardrobe, I saw him use it once. Be careful, he's a magic user."
02:14 (2990) Mace: (( Boss fight! ))
02:14 (2968) Zeke: ((And I'm still unarmed...))
02:15 (2981) Natrix: "alright. Give me a moment to weave a spell. SIlva, if you can give yourself resistance to spells, I would recommend doing so"
02:15 (2990) Mace: (( At least you have claws. Although, he probably doesn't have much other than spells. ))
02:15 (2990) Mace: (( Too bad we can't strip him of his magic and just beat on him. ))
02:15 (2971) Silva: (Dropping undead spell for a continous magic resistance spell. 10 strand, 5 magic resistance, continous,)
02:15 (2971) Silva: (Well.... we could, kinda)
02:16 (2971) Silva: (If we were 2 times as powerfull...)
02:16 (2968) Zeke: ((Whoo! a whole 3 damage!))
02:16 ** (2985) Tusken turns to the mages. "Could either of you make me look human?" **
02:16 (2990) Mace: (( Can you do the buffer thing on each other and use that to kick his magicalness's ass? ))
02:16 (2981) Natrix: Natrix begins chanting again. This time, taking his sweet time. (ten second casting time, 30 round duration, on himself, spell resistance 12 stands)
02:17 (2971) Silva: (Checking)
02:17 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+10-12] -> [1,10,-12] = (-1)
02:17 (2981) Natrix: (spell will still go off, it just hurts)
02:18 (2971) Silva: (Yes..., but it will take awhile.)
02:18 whispering to arthurtuxedo, Chaplain = 6 magic resistance, light mail, longsword. 12 base strands, +6 resistance for 14)
02:18 (2971) Silva: (About 10 rounds)(Still want me to?)
02:18 (2985) Tusken: (nah, don't worry about it)
02:19 (2971) Silva: (ok.)
02:19 ** (2990) Mace looks at Tusken. **
02:19 (2990) Mace: I look human already. What were you thinking?
02:19 (2968) Zeke: ((10 rounds =10 seconds, IIRC))
02:19 (2971) Silva: (I know)
02:19 (2985) Tusken: "Well, if he's the chaplain, perhaps we could convince him there was a dying prisoner who needed his last rites."
02:19 (2968) Zeke: ((Which means the same lenght of time as Natrix))
02:20 (2990) Mace: Hmm..
02:20 (2971) Silva: (So, you do want me to?)
02:20 (2985) Tusken: "But he certainly wouldn't listen to an orc."
02:20 (2981) Natrix: after the spell finishes, Natrix looks drained. "That was not pleasant to cast."
02:20 (2990) Mace: (( I have Comman but no Manipulation or anything so I don't know if that would work. ))
02:20 (2990) Mace: (( *Command ))
02:21 (2981) Natrix: "Frankly, we should just kick in the door and destroy the charlatan"
02:21 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Clock is ticking on the duration of Natrix' spell)
02:21 (2990) Mace: If he destroys us first, that may not be as easily said as done.
02:21 (2968) Zeke: ((Truthfully? Do as you want. It will make no difference time wise))
02:21 (2971) Silva: (Ok, am)
02:22 (2990) Mace: Send in the magic casters first, then?
02:22 (2971) Silva: (Alter spell, 10 rounds casting, as Natrix is casting his. [1d10+10-15] -> [2,10,-15] = (-3)
02:22 (2990) Mace: Fight fire with fire, as it were?
02:22 (2981) Natrix: "Silva, if you can interfere with his spellcasting, I can destroy him"
02:22 (2990) Mace: (( Is his door locked and I need to pick it? ))
02:23 (2971) Silva: (duration 5 rounds, to look as human)
02:23 (2971) Silva: (Using what spell?)
02:23 (2981) Natrix: (illusion)
02:23 (2968) Zeke: ((If it is locked, do I have the key?))
02:23 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Only way to find out is to try the handle)
02:24 (2981) Natrix: (this time spent chatting in parenthesis doesnt count against my duration does it?)
02:24 ** (2985) Tusken tries the handle. **
02:24 (2971) Silva: (How do you want me to use an illusion?)
02:24 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The handle turns.
02:24 (2981) Natrix: (dont worry about it, moot point, he will see your armor spell)
02:24 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (-3 MoS means 50% of intended strands, you need at least 15 for the alter spell, so nothing happens)
02:25 (2971) Silva: (Ahh well.)
02:25 (2985) Tusken: (oh well. Time to die!)
02:25 (2990) Mace: (( Yay! ))
02:25 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (40 fatigue points is 4 times Silva's willpower, so -4 to all rolls from fatigue until breath is caught)
02:25 (2990) Mace: (( Can I poke the guy's eye out with my lockpick? ))
02:26 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The spell doesn't work, and the excess magical energy goes through Silva's body, tiring her greatly.
02:26 (2968) Zeke: ((I had wanted to see Montana /Red October misquote (I think)))
02:26 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (20 rounds left on the antimagic spell)
02:27 ** (2985) Tusken rushes through the door, bellowing. **
02:27 (2981) Natrix: (alright... as you open the door, distract him I will try to destroy his physical stats while you attack him physically)
02:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Round 1
02:27 (2981) Natrix: Natrix begins casting a 1 round spell
02:27 ** (2990) Mace follows Tusken into the room. **
02:27 ** (2968) Zeke whispers "are we..." **
02:27 (2985) Tusken: [1d10+19] -> [6,19] = (25)
02:27 (2990) Mace: [1d10+14] -> [4,14] = (18)
02:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 18] -> [10,18] = (28)
02:27 ** (2968) Zeke is hot on their heels **
02:27 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [28 + 1d10] -> [28,3] = (31)
02:27 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+17] -> [10,17] = (27)
02:27 (2971) Silva: [1d10+17-4] -> [6,17,-4] = (19)
02:28 (2968) Zeke: [1d10+24] -> [1,24] = (25)
02:28 (2981) Natrix: [27+1d10] -> [27,2] = (29)
02:28 ** (2990) Mace has his fist raised, ready to bring some doom upon the bastage. **
02:28 (2990) Mace: (( So much for an element of surprise. ))
02:28 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Place the mini's how you want them. The red line is the door)
02:29 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 1. Chaplain
02:29 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 2. Natrix
02:29 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 3. Tusken
02:29 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 4. Zeke
02:29 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 5. Silva
02:29 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 6. Mace
02:30 (2982) arthurtuxedo: As Tusken bursts through the door, the chaplain is waiting. He must have known the group was out there somehow. He throws an axe.
02:30 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 10 + 1d10] -> [7,10,9] = (26)
02:30 (2985) Tusken: (dodgity dodge dodge!)
02:30 (2981) Natrix: (damn)
02:30 (2985) Tusken: [1d10+18] -> [8,18] = (26)
02:30 (2981) Natrix: (tie breaker!)
02:30 (2982) arthurtuxedo: [1d10 + 19] -> [2,19] = (21)
02:30 (2985) Tusken: [1d10+18] -> [7,18] = (25)
02:30 (2985) Tusken: (whew)
02:31 (2990) Mace: (( Yay! Old man can't throw! ))
02:31 (2981) Natrix: (yes he can, are you nuts?)
02:31 (2990) Mace: (( Well, yes, but that's beside the point. ))
02:31 (2982) arthurtuxedo: With reflexes like lightning, Tusken bobs his head to the side. The axe that was aimed right at his forehead instead embeds into the wall uncomfortably close to Natrix.
02:31 (2981) Natrix: (eep)
02:32 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Natrix starts casting, right?)
02:32 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Tusken's turn)
02:32 (2981) Natrix: (oh yeah)
02:32 ** (2985) Tusken attempts to wail on the Chaplain. [1d10+15] -> [10,15] = (25) **
02:32 (2985) Tusken: [25+1d10] -> [25,2] = (27)
02:32 (2990) Mace: (( Can I pick up the axe? ))
02:32 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Dodge: [1d10 + 18] -> [3,18] = (21)
02:32 (2985) Tusken: [1d10] -> [10] = (10)
02:32 (2985) Tusken: [1d10] -> [9] = (9)
02:32 (2985) Tusken: [1d20] -> [19] = (19)
02:33 (2990) Mace: (( Will it matter? ))
02:33 (2985) Tusken: (probably not)
02:33 (2981) Natrix: (good in physical combat he shouldnt be able to cast spell effectively)
02:33 (2990) Mace: (( Oooh, good point. ))
02:34 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (My boss fights always go like this, you bastards)
02:34 (2985) Tusken: (HA!)
02:34 (2981) Natrix: (hehe, he should have a meat shield)
02:34 (2968) Zeke: ((Hee!))
02:34 (2990) Mace: (( /me throws some more golden bananas at the Great Monkey's feet. ))
02:35 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Tusken hits the man as hard as he possibly can. The light mail he is wearing is also reinforced by magic, and Tusken nearly breaks his hand. However, the punch was right to the man's carotid artery, and some of the momentum gets through. Thinking that its blood supply has been cut off, the brain shuts down and he falls unconscious.
02:35 ** (2990) Mace looks at the Chaplain. **
02:35 (2990) Mace: Should we kill him or let him live to corrupt more?
02:36 (2971) Silva: Kill him.
02:36 (2982) arthurtuxedo: * End Combat *
02:36 ** (2985) Tusken rips the Chaplain's helmet off and continues pounding him in the face. **
02:36 (2981) Natrix: "Kill him"
02:36 (2971) Silva: I happily will.
02:36 (2981) Natrix: "I think he should burn"
02:36 (2990) Mace: Please do.
02:36 ** (2968) Zeke recovers the thrown axe **
02:36 (2990) Mace: (( Too bad you can't set him on fire and have him float through the prison and then the chapel or whatnot freaking out all the parishoners. ))
02:37 (2981) Natrix: Natrix walks up and utters the words of a spell. (ten second cast, touch spell, 17 strands of fire)
02:37 (2971) Silva: Silvas leans down to him, and burns him. (Do you need a roll?)
02:37 (2981) Natrix: [1d10+16-17] -> [8,16,-17] = (7)
02:38 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Between Natrix and Silva, his flesh burns to a crisp and he dies.
02:38 ** (2990) Mace smells roast pork. **
02:38 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Tusken's fist impacts his charred nose one last time.
02:38 (2982) arthurtuxedo: He is wearing a longsword on a scabbard at his hip.
02:38 (2990) Mace: (( Is it ornamental? ))
02:39 (2985) Tusken: (did he just have a chain coif, or was he wearing a helmet?)
02:39 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (mail coif)
02:39 (2990) Mace: (( Better yet, will others recognize the sword if we try to sell it? ))
02:39 (2985) Tusken: (dammit)
02:39 (2968) Zeke: ((He chucked a throwing axe, right?))
02:40 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Upon closer examination, the chaplain's sword is perfectly functional, and he probably would have drawn it if he'd had the chance.
02:40 ** (2985) Tusken gets to his feet and takes a deep breath. **
02:40 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Yes, he did)
02:40 (2968) Zeke: (Yoink!)
02:40 ** (2990) Mace takes the sword. **
02:40 ** (2990) Mace pats Tusken on the shoulder. **
02:40 (2981) Natrix: "I love the smell of roasted charlatan in the morning. Smells like victory"
02:40 (2990) Mace: Feel better?
02:41 (2985) Tusken: "Indeed.
02:41 ** (2985) Tusken walks over to the armoir or whatever it is and pushes it aside. **
02:42 ** (2990) Mace follows Tusken to see what's on the other side. **
02:42 (2981) Natrix: (is there enough flammable stuff in here that I can set the prison on fire?)
02:42 (2990) Mace: We should send the old man through first.
02:42 (2990) Mace: (( Someone's a pyromaniac. ))
02:42 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Behind the armoire is what appears to be a hole in the wall. But behind it you can see a dirty, unfurnished room. The window is boarded up, but light streaks through the cracks.
02:43 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The old man spares Mace a dirty glance for a second, but brightens up almost immediately. "We did it! Free at last!"
02:43 (2982) arthurtuxedo: He steps through, not needing to crouch.
02:43 ** (2985) Tusken follows him. **
02:43 ** (2968) Zeke follows closely **
02:43 ** (2990) Mace follows as well. **
02:43 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Prison's made of stone. Not going to burn)
02:44 (2985) Tusken: "Vennabelle's blessings upon you, good sir."
02:44 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The group soon finds themselves in an abandoned house in a middle-class district.
02:44 (2981) Natrix: "Thank you for leading the way"
02:44 (2971) Silva: Silva follows
02:44 (2981) Natrix: Natrix steps through
02:44 ** (2990) Mace nods to the old man. **
02:45 (2990) Mace: I meant no disrespect. Only age before beauty.
02:45 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "Near as I can tell, nobody else knew about this portal. So recover it. Might take them a while to find it.
02:45 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "By that time, we'll all be long gone.
02:46 (2990) Mace: We could leave it open and send an army of hobgoblins in.
02:46 (2981) Natrix: Natrix hides the portal in the same way it was before
02:46 (2968) Zeke: "Do you have an army of hobgoblins?"
02:46 (2990) Mace: Point.
02:46 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Natrix can't budge the heavy armoire. Only Tusken or Mace are strong engough.
02:46 (2990) Mace: (( Even with my arm as it is? ))
02:46 (2981) Natrix: "little help?"
02:47 ** (2990) Mace moves to help Natrix. **
02:47 (2990) Mace: Of course.
02:47 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Between the two of them, they slide it back into place.
02:48 (2982) arthurtuxedo: "Well, I say "thank you" all for helping me escape, and I say "you're welcome" for helping you escape. Have a nice life, all of you, eh?"
02:48 ** (2990) Mace nods. **
02:48 (2985) Tusken: "Farewell."
02:48 ** (2968) Zeke does likewise **
02:49 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Checking to make sure no one's looking, the old man walks out the door and into the bustling street.
02:49 (2981) Natrix: "You too. Have a pleasant existence"
02:49 (2981) Natrix: (when my reptilian overlords overtake this world, your name will be on the protective rolls and you will come to no harm)
02:49 (2968) Zeke: "Oh, by the way, I'm generally called Zeke."
02:50 (2981) Natrix: "A pleasure to make your aquaintance"
02:50 ** (2990) Mace nods. **
02:50 (2971) Silva: "Silva."
02:50 ** (2985) Tusken gets a glimpse of the outside world, and starts to get nervous. He didn't have his cloak with him. **
02:51 (2981) Natrix: "we could always go get some cloth and dress you as a leper..."
02:51 (2990) Mace: (( So we have no idea what town we're in? ))
02:51 (2990) Mace: (( Or could we look around the place we're in to find ol' ugly a covering? ))
02:52 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Would be easy to check if you're still in Hightower. Just go outside and see if there are huge towers(
02:52 (2968) Zeke: ((He might not be the only one requiring covering up.))
02:52 (2981) Natrix: Natrix pokes his head outside. flicking his tounge quizically
02:52 ** (2990) Mace casually wanders outside of the house and glances around then wanders back in. **
02:52 (2971) Silva: Silva takes a breather.
02:53 (2982) arthurtuxedo: (Also, non-humans are oppressed, but not arrested on sight. They won't know who you are)
02:53 (2981) Natrix: (and I can generally "charm" my way out of problems"
02:53 (2981) Natrix: )
02:53 (2985) Tusken: (Help! Help! I'm being oppressed!)
02:53 (2981) Natrix: (bloody peasant!)
02:53 (2982) arthurtuxedo: All it takes is one glance for Mace to know that this is indeed Hightower.
02:54 (2971) Silva: (I just realized; I have no concentrations in beguilement.)
02:54 (2990) Mace: We're in Hightower.
02:54 ** (2985) Tusken sighs. He would just have to keep his head down until he got back to his apartment. **
02:54 (2981) Natrix: (socially, you are boned. congrats)
02:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Okay, so everyone goes back to their homes and tries to get back to a normal life. But a week later, these strangers would all be brought back together once again...
02:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: * * * End Session 1 * * *
02:55 (2981) Natrix: YAY!
02:55 (2981) Natrix: I was useful!
02:55 (2990) Mace: You were seriously useful.
02:55 (2990) Mace: I finally killed someone!
02:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: That was a good start. Lots of fun.
02:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Already posted the great session post
02:55 (2971) Silva: Definitly fun.
02:55 (2968) Zeke: I ran around!
02:55 (2982) arthurtuxedo: 25 XP for all
02:55 (2985) Tusken: And I cheated you out of your bossfight.
02:55 (2990) Nikoda: You did.
02:55 ** (2985) Tusken points and laughs at Art **
02:56 ** (2990) Nikoda does too just because it's fun. **
02:56 (2981) Natrix: yay! 26 glorious XP!
02:56 ** (2982) arthurtuxedo gives Tusken the middle finger. **
02:56 (2971) Silva: ?
02:56 (2971) Silva: 26?
02:56 (2981) Natrix: sorry
02:56 (2990) Nikoda: Aww. He gave you a present.
02:56 (2981) Natrix: typo
02:56 (2985) gerardpaloma: ROFL
02:56 (2968) Bill: Aw. 23XP
02:56 (2982) arthurtuxedo: This group is even more morally bankrupt than the last one, I think.
02:57 (2981) Natrix: well, to be fair, we just have a different sort of morals
02:57 (2968) Bill: Which group?
02:57 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The Apprentices group
02:57 (2981) Natrix: Those guards arent really people
02:57 (2985) gerardpaloma: The Purple Dragons
02:57 (2990) Nikoda: Religious fantatics aren't people.
02:57 (2968) Bill: Aw. You make Gustav cry...
02:57 (2985) gerardpaloma: Filthy heathens
02:57 (2990) Nikoda: Heathens are fun!
02:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Gustav was just about the only one of the last group with two qualms to rub together
02:58 (2981) Natrix: What about Valarian? Sure he had his moments..
02:58 (2982) arthurtuxedo: The rest were a bunch of paranoid, hostile assholes
02:58 (2985) gerardpaloma: And they rubbed off on Lenny.
02:58 (2971) Silva: I liked the paranoia. It was funny.
02:59 (2985) gerardpaloma: Lenny was just a quiet, unassuming kid until he met the Purple Dragons.
02:59 (2985) gerardpaloma: And now he's a Demigod.
02:59 (2982) arthurtuxedo: Now he's the Demigod of blood sacrifices. Okay I made that part up
02:59 (2990) Nikoda: Sounds like he got a good deal out of it.
02:59 (2981) Natrix: Valarian got boned...
02:59 (2981) Natrix: hard
02:59 (2981) Natrix: without lube
03:00 (2981) Natrix: poor Valarian
03:00 (2968) Bill: Well... All I can say about the paranoia is, when someone mashes the button marked 'Dodgy' hard I react.
03:00 (2982) arthurtuxedo: But this group is potentially even worse. I mean, killing two unconscious people, honestly. One was a Church oppressor, sure, but the other was just a guard doing his job.
03:00 (2990) Nikoda: Yeah, but his job included killing people who are..."innocent".
03:01 (2981) Natrix: oh please, that is like saying the guards at the concentration camp were just guards doing their job
03:01 (2982) arthurtuxedo: That was pure speculation on the group's part
03:01 (2990) Nikoda: Like the new pope!
03:01 (2981) Natrix: Hey, the new pope disserted
03:01 (2985) gerardpaloma: Lemme tell you about another group of hatemongers that were just doing their jobs. They were called Nazis!
03:01 (2981) Natrix: he didnt want to man the flak cannon
03:01 (2968) Bill: Like Plato said "Dulce et Decorum est, pro patria mori"
03:01 (2990) Nikoda: True.
03:02 (2990) Nikoda: Sweet something about something, I'm guessing.
03:02 (2985) gerardpaloma: Brilliant translation.
03:02 (2990) Nikoda: I know.
03:02 ** (2990) Nikoda bows. **
03:02 (2990) Nikoda: Can you do better?
03:02 (2981) Natrix: See, if he were just a soldier, on the field, it would be different. But to use the Nazi analogy, the guards at the concentration camps were SS. They were Beleivers
03:02 (2990) Nikoda: Huh?
03:02 (2968) Bill: Sweet and seemly thing to die for ones country, or some bollocks along those lines
03:02 (2981) Natrix: troops in the field were 16 year odl draftees
03:02 (2985) gerardpaloma: I make no claims to know Latin.
03:03 (2990) Nikoda: True.
03:03 (2981) Natrix: The translation is something like There is little more proper than to die for one;s country:
03:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: That's true, and I did take that into account when deciding how they should act.
03:03 (2982) arthurtuxedo: But I thought I'd give you shit anyway ;)
03:03 (2971) Silva: Animating the dead is Ffun!
03:03 (2968) Bill: Although, not all the SS were bad.
03:04 (2990) Nikoda: If they had wives and children, they should be accountants, not prison guards.
03:04 (2985) gerardpaloma: Alright, I hate to leave this little party, but I've got some DVDs that need watching, and they sure as hell ain't gonna watch themselves.
03:04 (2968) Bill: Some of the fighting formations were pretty atrocity free, apparently
03:04 (2985) gerardpaloma: See you folks next week.
03:04 (2990) Nikoda: See you later!
03:04 (2971) Silva: Bye, same
03:04 (2971) Silva: Disconnecting from server...
03:04 (2971) Silva (exit): 15:04
